Emotional wellness is as important as physical wellness. If you are not emotionally well, it can inadvertently lead to the neglect of your physical health. When you are sick, you seek treatment from a doctor. Likewise, if you are not mentally well, the first step in healing is reaching out for help. If you have come to this page, then you are most likely facing some difficult times in your life. Maybe this season of life seems to be more of a struggle, or maybe everyday feels like a struggle? Whatever you may be feeling or enduring, I want you to know there is hope. My name is Alex Bray, and I am an intern therapist here at the Scottsville-Counseling Center. I am a graduate of Western Kentucky University’s Bachelor of Social Work program, and I am currently completing my last year in the Master of Social Work program to obtain my licensure in Clinical Social Work. I am seeking to work with children, adolescents, and adults to give quality therapy and provide treatments that will improve one’s quality of life. 

My style is to meet you where you are to support you in developing a new, healthier path forward. The issues you face may be big; however, you have amazing strengths and tools to aid you in navigating the journey towards greater health and joy. Remember: the relationship with yourself sets the tone for every other relationship in your life. I'm looking forward to supporting you in developing a healthier, happier relationship that begins with you and also fosters healthier, happier connections with others!
