Licensed Professional Counseling Associate (LPCA)

Finding a place where you can feel supported, accepted, safe, and heard is essential to the therapeutic process because let’s face it, talking about some of the heavier parts of life is hard sometimes. Facing ourselves, our traumas, circumstances, relationships, and thoughts requires a space that allows for a person to enter it as they are freely and feel all the support needed. Sometimes, we may feel like the burden is on our friends and family. Sometimes, life gets overwhelming very fast and what felt like it was under control no longer feels that way. Sometimes, we feel periods of sadness that we can’t explain or describe, and we just want to feel like ourselves again. And sometimes, we just need to talk, and that is O-K. The therapeutic journey is not always easy, and healing, growth, peace, and change are not always a linear process; but you are able.

As a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate (LPCA), I provide culturally competent counseling to individuals, families, & couples ranging from adults to adolescents to children. My counseling approach is centered around cognitive behavioral therapy, which includes identifying and challenging negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I also work within solution focused brief therapy and expressive arts practices to include meditation, art, music, and walk and talk therapy. I believe that there are multiple forms of expression and use all my approaches to fit the specific needs of the clients I work with.

This is a Black Indigenous Person of Color (BIPOC), military, first responder, faith-based, and educator friendly space as well. All are welcome, heard, and accepted here.

Regardless of whether you settle on a therapist that fits your needs today, tomorrow, or next week; don’t forget to take care of yourself throughout the process and know that you are supported in your journey.

Five Values that Guide My Work: trust and transparency; respect for autonomy; cultural sensitivity; empathy and compassion; & confidentiality and safety.
