Erin Evans

First, I want to acknowledge that our community has many amazing therapists (with   equally amazing bios), which can make it a bit challenging to determine who to contact. To   help make the process easier, I offer free 10 minute consults where we can to get to know   each other to say hello, touch on any questions you may have, and then opt to explore   scheduling options if you feel working together to be a good fit.

To provide some information about me, my foundation in this work started with service-   learning. Before I ever sat across from someone as a therapist, I went into the community   with instructions to practice partnership and reciprocity, build capacity, create sustainable   solutions, and always reflect to continue learning and growing. From Louisville to   Appalachia, to Bowling Green and southcentral Kentucky, I have had the privilege to learn from and work alongside a variety of people across our beautiful state. That is how I approach my work with clients as well. Regardless of whether you believe it yet, you have strengths and wisdom that I will honor and learn from as we work together.

At my core, I have a person-centered, holistic, and collaborative approach to therapy. I don’t tend to see people and their struggles in terms of a “disorder” first. Rather, I believe life can be really challenging and that we all do the best we can in any given situation with the insight and tools available to us at the time. I strive to hold a safe space for you to process the situation and then support you in building skills and/or taking steps to better cope with (or even better—thrive in spite of) life’s challenges. If this sounds like what you are looking for, please feel free to reach out. I’m looking forward to meeting you!
