Master of Social Work Intern
Life's ups and downs can seem overwhelming at times. We all need a chance to recenter and focus our abilities to cope and process our world. Whether you are starting a fresh relationship, or job, or are trying to climb a mountain of stress and anxiety, you can learn to view your situation through a new lens that empowers you. I believe every obstacle is an opportunity to grow. If you are dealing with trauma, depression, or addiction, together we can turn battle scars into victory trophies, and I am honored to help you on that journey.
My name is Tecia Irwin, I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology from Southern New Hampshire University and am completing my Master of Social Work at Liberty University. I am thrilled to be an intern therapist at Scottsville Counseling Center. I look forward to helping you set realistic life goals, providing validation while learning to cope, and promoting a grounded sense of personal ownership over your own life. We will partner together to create a balance in your life so that you can have less stress and reveal your full potential. Through a multitude of treatment approaches and activities, we can discover the right way to frame your situation. This will cultivate your abilities, revealing a stronger and more confident you. Let's walk this journey together so that you can say "yes" to a happier, healthier future for yourself.,/span>
