Amanda G. Patrick, Marriage & Family Therapist Associate

Do you often feel anxious, worried, or overwhelmed? Or do you just wonder what you can do to make your day a little calmer and bit more balanced? If so, let's work together to create a stronger and calmer you. As a Marriage & Family Therapy Student Intern working at Scottsville Counseling Center, I am here to help you build and create a more structured, calmer life through an open, solution-based approach. As we journey together forward, I will help guide you and walk with you throughout your transition.

My experience working in the field of mental health has enhanced my ability to understand and empathize with you on your journey to become the you that you desire to be. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology in Human Relations from Indiana Wesleyan University and am a Temporary Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (TCADC). My experience working on my TCADC has fostered a better understanding of the stress and worries that many families, couples, and individuals go through. This work inspired me to pursue additional education and training through the completion of my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Northcentral University. If you are ready to get started on your next steps, it would be an honor to walk with you on your journey of self-exploration to identify ways to care for yourself and your family.

Five Values that Guide My Work: empathy, mindfulness, community, compassion, and authenticity.
