Therapy Dog
Hi there! My name is Yurica Kateko, and I am a 70lb registered therapy dog, an empath, an amazing treat tester, and a lover of all. I was born and trained in Czechoslovakia. I currently hold 4 titles with AKC: ZVV1, CGC, AKC Community Canine, and AKC Therapy Dog Title. I love going to work with mom because I get to meet and help bring comfort to others. I also get a lot of treats! I love to connect with everyone and show them what unconditional love is. When we go in public, mom likes to tell me not everyone wants to pet and love on me, but I think she is wrong. I love people but I am not a people pleaser, just ask mom. Sometimes I just do whatever I want at home because after all, I am the boss. At work, I take my job serious. I listen, I have good manners and I let mom become the boss for a while. I am really good at sensing your pain and emotions that I try to sit in your lap to help comfort you. When I need to recharge, I will often lay in a corner or lay beside mom while she finishes her session with you.
Mom and I have a great bond. She knows when I am tapped out or when I am uncomfortable. It is kind of like she reads my mind but she is amazing at picking up body language, and she listens to what I need. Oh! Did I mention, I love treats? Ms. Amanda keeps me stocked up on my favorite treats!
I am mostly with mom (Brittney), but you can request to visit with me before or after your session with the others. I look forward to meeting you and assisting you on your healing journey.
